John King is a watercolor artist at heart and therein lie his design roots. After hosting multiple watercolor art shows in Florida, he anticipated the possible career that exists in graphic design. After completing the Graphic Design program at The Art Institute Of Dallas, John moved to California to pursue a career in graphic arts. He was hired as a graphic designer by Trademark Graphics. After working with the company for one year he was promoted to Art Director.

After working with the company for 2 years, my personal goals exceeded the company’s capabilities. I then decided to chase my dream of working for one of the best surfing magazines in the country."
John was hired as an Associate Designer for Transworld Surf Magazine. TWS Magazine is distributed worldwide and is the leader in it's demographic. After working for the company for only 2 months, John began making his mark with giant 2 page spreads of his paintings and portraits. Additionally, his watercolor paintings and unique style of design have been showcased throughout the magazine.
